About me

Where did we come from? Where are we going? Is there meaning to life at all? What does it mean to live a good life? I take interest in such questions. I’m a lifelong learner driven by a deep curiosity about the world and what may lie beyond it. I am an avid reader and my interests span religion, philosophy, neuroscience, history, evolution, and economics—fields that, in different ways, attempt to make sense of existence and our place within it. Professionally, I lead Product and Digital Marketing for Zoho Campaigns.

Outside of work, I enjoy music. I can play a little bit of piano and guitar (although I am a novice). I’ve always had a love for sports—particularly cricket, table tennis, and chess. I was also a Toastmaster, where I discovered a strong appreciation for public speaking and thoughtful dialogue.

I’m the author of
Fireflies in the Void and Reflections of a Seeker, two books that explore questions and ideas I find myself returning to often.

Through this website and my writing, I hope to share ideas, reflect openly, and engage in conversations that are honest, curious, and constructive.

I am a software engineer by profession working in embedded systems. I’ve completed the Krishna Yajur Veda Samhita, moola paata adhyayana and currently studying Krama paata. I also have a basic knowledge of various shastras, like Vyakarana, Poorva mimamsa and Tarka. I am an avid temple lover and I visit all old temples down in south India regularly.

Apart from technology and dharmic interests, I am an avid nature lover and love silent contemplation in forests.

I am a technology enthusiast with a lifelong curiousity about the nature of everything and have had a passion for philosophy and science as long as I can remember. I spent my teenage years from the age of 12 to 23 in a remote Himalayan forest abode, where a few of us attempted to live an ascetic life with spiritual study and practice as the primary goal. While I was there, I studied the works of Sri Aadi Shankara, Swami Vivekananda, Ramana Maharishi, Bhagavad Geeta and the principal eight Upanishads.

Since returning to the Saamsaric life, I work as a software developer, and taken up various interests like weightlifting, callisthenics, motorcycle riding/racing and computer generated art. I also continue to do some of the activities that I enjoyed while living in the forest like trekking in the mountains and woodworking. I have been engaged in reading the Brhad Yogavaashistam in Sanskrit since 2018, which my mother and spiritual Guru has been translating since a decade or so.

My core beliefs align mostly with the Advaita Vedanta and the doctrine elaborated in this grand text.

Through this blog I wish to express my experiences and conceptual descriptions in the most logically sound way, so that the truths of our ancients can reach even the most skeptical reader, and make them wonder. My pet philosophical topics to think about are Subjectivity, Free will, Identity along with some scientifically overlapping ones like Quantum indeterminacy and Relativity.
